ABOUT US
A FAMILY HOCKEY TRADITION
HOW REFRESHER STARTED
Refresher Hockey started 26 years ago with Dave McDougall and a few friends renting the ice for their kids and teammates. Eventually, it blossomed into what we see today: a camp hosting 8 sessions and offering private lessons along with spring programs. The program has also been hosted in the U.S., so it has grown immensely.
Dave’s son Connor instructed at the camp for 10 years before taking it over as owner and head instructor. Connor grew up playing minor hockey for the Parry Sound Shamrocks, then went on to play junior hockey on the East Coast in Nova Scotia. Today he is an educator in the Parry Sound area.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Hockey is a vehicle to teach children about teamwork, integrity and being the best that they can be.
We make fun, hockey and physical fitness part of your summer experience.
WHERE WE PLAY
Clinics run at Humphrey Arena in Seguin Township, close to the Parry Sound area, Georgian Bay and the Muskokas.
